- 1/2 cup White Sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 1/8 cup whole milk
- 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
- 1 apple
- 1/2 tsp apple cinnamon

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375° F, Mix together the white sugar and butter until its fluffy
- Mix in the baking powder, vanilla extract and salt. Add in the flour in two additions, Stir in the milk until well combined and set the batter aside.
- Cut the apple in half, remove the core and seeds. Slice the apple halves into thin pieces about ¼ of an inch thick.
- Lightly spray a 9-inch round cake pan with non-stick spray. Take half of the cake batter and spread it over the bottom of the pan.
- Layer half of the apple slices onto the batter, then put half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the layer.
- Put the leftover batter over the apple slices, spread out the dough to cover as much of the apples as possible.
- Top off the batter by layering the remaining apple slices, then spread the remaining of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over them.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes, then let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
