- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups Brown Sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups plain flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
- In a saucepan melt the butter over low heat.
- Remove pan from heat and stir in brown sugar.
- Add the eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla
- Sift together the dry ingredients and then add to the brown sugar mixture.
- Add the coconut and chocolate chips to brown sugar mixture.
- Spread the mixture onto a greased baking pan.
- Bake at 350 F for approximately 25 minutes.
- Cut into bars while warm and transfer to a cooling rack.
