- Pour the flour and salt into a mixing bowl and rub in the butter
- Cook the figs in a steamer for apporximately 10-15 minutes
- Remove the stalks and cut the figs into small pieces
- Pour the flour and salt into a mixing bowl and rub in the butter. Mix in the sugar, figs and water to form a light dough
- Place the dough in a greased bread tin
- Bake in the center of the oven for approximately 1 hour. Gas Mark 4
